Windows Registry Recovery - How To
This article explains Windows registry recovery methods. For more information about Windows registry recovery and your own Windows registry, download free registry scan here.
Everything that happens on your computer is logged and reported within the Windows registry. The registry database contains references to things such as:
- hardware attached to your computer
- the drivers installed
- what applications have been installed and removed
- individual application options
- DLL file tracking
- general Windows settings…
The list is endless. So when the registry on your computer has problems, you can bet that your computer, and Windows, are going to have problems too.
The registry is effectively the central nervous system of Windows, so to keep Windows running at its best, the registry needs to be as optimized as possible.
The options to fix the registry are:
- take your computer to the repairer (the downside to this is you lose your computer for a while and it is going to cost you)
- fix it yourself (you risk damaging your computer, and possibly making it un-bootable, so this is not the recommended option)
- use automated scanning technology (the cheapest, simplest and fastest method of clearing out the registry)
To get started, you can download a free registry scan here and check out your Windows registry now.
If you are planning on doing it yourself I recommend you do a lot of reading about the registry before attempting any changes (and good luck!).
